What You Don’t Know Will Hurt You

When we were five or six years of age, all we wanted to do was to be happy, in fact we couldn’t see days ahead when we wouldn’t be happy. But unfortunately life kicks in and that is not the way life always turns out unless you choose it that way. If you learn some basic life skills you can choose to be happy. ⁣

What I didn’t know certainly hurt my physical health and it wasn’t until I began to work on my ignorance that I began to see real and lasting change. 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒊𝒔 𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔. ⁣

I preferred back at the start of the century to let mine build up and not talk to anybody about it. My wife couldn’t have told you that I was stressed at the time because I didn’t show the turmoil to the outside world. That’s just the way ignorance works I suppose. Mentally, I would let a lot of s**t build up and irritate me before eventually exploding. It is no coincidence that physically the exact same thing happened with Crohns Disease. It built up, irritated the lining of the bowel before exploding.⁣

It wasn’t until I started researching different ways to deal with a condition that was spiralling out of control that I began to look at natural medicine and my eating and drinking habits that I realised how little I knew, ignorance was definitely not bliss.⁣

I never knew that most Crohns sufferers – because of the symptoms of the disease – were Vitamin B deficient. I never knew that ginseng could help you with low energy.⁣

When you associate ignorance with bliss you deny yourself the opportunity to learn and grow your life’s horizon. ⁣

So choose to learn and expand your life’s horizon because in the short term ignorance can be bliss but definitely not in the long term.⁣
